“There is no one in this race I trust more to deliver for New Jersey”

Califon, N.J.—Today, U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Patricia Campos-Medina announced that Oceanport Democratic Organization Municipal Chairman Mike Sikand has endorsed her campaign for Senate based on her commitment to peace and justice at home and abroad, to working people, and making New Jersey more affordable.

“At a moment in the world that is so perilous for so many around the world, we need leaders who are willing to stand for the right thing, even when it’s not the easy thing,” said Sikand. “Whether it’s supporting a ceasefire in Gaza, fighting for Medicare-for-All, or helping ensure workers are paid what they’re worth, Patricia has always been willing to do what’s right and there is no one in this race I trust more to deliver for New Jersey than her. Her record of public service stands in contrast to the privilege of status-quo politics and centrist positions of career politicians. She represents the real change young people want to see in our politics today.”

“I am incredibly grateful for Mike’s support as we continue to build up our campaign from the grassroots on the issues that matter most to people,” said Campos-Medina. “This campaign is about expanding opportunity and representation to everyone, not just the insider’s club that has shaped decades of New Jersey’s politics and, with Mike’s help, we will continue doing just that.”

Campos-Medina recently announced her support for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, tying her call for peace to her harrowing experience living through civil war in El Salvador as a child. In a video announcing her campaign, Campos-Medina shares her inspiring journey as a Latina immigrant woman and as someone who intimately understands how issues like the economy and jobs, war, immigration policy and economic community investment impact the daily lives of countless New Jerseyans and their loved ones.
